Cafeteria Procedures

Students may purchase a hot lunch prepared in the school cafeteria or bring a packed lunch to school if they so choose.  Lunch cost is $4.50 per day for students when buying a meal (including milk) from the cafeteria.  Milk may be purchased for $.50 per day for those bringing a lunch from home.  When available, extras (such as an extra sandwich) may be purchased for $2.00 in addition to the cost of the lunch.  The school secretary will be responsible for collecting lunch money and recording paid lunches per student.  Students who arrive at school after 10:00 A.M. and have not indicated whether they are buying or packing for the day should bring a lunch from home since it is too late to purchase a lunch from the cafeteria for that particular day.

The cafeteria will not serve any items containing peanut butter or nuts. Students who pack a lunch are permitted to pack peanuts or nuts. Students cannot share items in their lunchboxes or from their lunch trays.

A monthly lunch menu is sent home before the 1st of each month for your planning convenience. Lunch menus may also be found on the school website.

Please note the following lunch schedule:

Lunch for K, 1, and 2 11:10-11:40

Lunch for 3, 4, and 5 11:45-12:15

Lunch for 6, 7, and 8 12:20-12:50

There are occasions when adults need to purchase a lunch during the school day. The cost for an adult lunch is $4.50. Please notify the school secretary by 9:00 A.M. if you plan on eating lunch in the school cafeteria.  Fast food is never allowed to be brought in for your child. The cost of $4.50 for the adult lunch is paid to the cafeteria before lunches are served.

Payment of Lunches

School lunches are provided by WG Grinders. To view balance of load funds to your child's lunch account: https://wggrinders.familyportal.cloud/myaccount. Checks made payable to WG Grinders may also be sent into the school.

Excessive Lunch Charges Policy

There are times when a student may forget to bring his/her lunch money or packed lunch to school and will charge a lunch from the cafeteria for that day.  If this situation occurs on a regular basis and the student owes lunch money for 5 lunches or more, the parents/guardians will be notified by letter of the amount owed.
